I am looking for a beginners course in German similar to what this
school offers for Chinese:
http://www.soas.ac.uk/languagecentre/chinese/Chinesedip.html

It's supposed to involve at least 15 hours of daytime class-based teaching per
week for about a year (with or without term breaks) and be held by a
London school / language institute which is a registered provider (for
visa reasons) as can be verified on:
http://www.dfes.gov.uk/providersregister/
