This sounds like a homework essay question to me. Don't expect any fast, easy answer from anyone here. Steph53 ( Not a researcher ) |

I'm much older, male in the USA, so perhaps I should not comment. I think differences will be minor with rare exceptions. Our attitudes are mostly formed before age 5, so our instint to conform is stronger or weaker dependent mostly on the example of our parents and others living in our childhood home. Our buying behavor is driven largely by our need to be like other people. Much of what we purchase is fluff that we could live without better, except unfulfilled compulsions can make us uncomfortable, perhaps ill in a few individuals. Neil |
