Good intentions here but also signs of patronizing which is not in the
best interests of either organization. The word 'adopt' connotes a
superior to inferior relationship.

Perhaps you would do better to take the approach of _supporting_ a
school in Sri Lanka (Bande Aceh is in Indonesia BTW).

I would be able to provide contact details of Sri Lankan High School.
Please advise how exactly you are planning to help as different
schools have different needs.

Thanks to the people who responded to my question and think that they
can help us. I am part of one of the largest regional school system in
Maine. I am looking for names of people to contact, who would help us
to form a partnership with one of the high schools that are in need of
long term financial and material aid. This is a time of great  need
for the survivors of many countries hit by the tsunami. What  country
we help is not as important as long as we fill gap currently left
unfilled. I won't know the specifics until I know the nature of the
needs.
