In MS Word's Standard Toolbar, there is missing the "FILE" and "EDIT" items. All other items, such as VIEW, INSERT, FORMAT, etc. are visible. How can I get "FILE" and "EDIT" to show on the Toolbar? |

Hi plt-ga, All toolbars within Word (and the entire Office suite) are entirely customizable. In order to get back the File and Edit dropdown menus, do the following: 1. Open Word 2. Go to View > Toolbars > Customize 3. Select the Commands tab and select the 'Built in Menus' category 4. Under the list of commands, you should see both File and Edit 5. Click and drag each of the desired dropdowns from the list to the appropriate place on the Standard toolbar That's it! You should now have those dropdowns as part of the standard toolbar - they should contain the default sets of options within them already. Cheers! answerguru-ga |
