How do I reset the password on a Dayna Communications Mini EtherPrint
Plus Ethernet to Localtalk bridge and what password does it get reset
to? I have the Etehrprint Administrator 3.2.1.

Jmayne - try this:

"It does have a removable chip
which I believe is an eprom. Long skinny thing near the middle of the
board. 

Power the unit down, remove the chip and leave it out for a half-hour
or so. Replace it, plug it in, and you should be returned to the
default settings (including, of course, no password)."

It seems that my model is not the same as the one referenced in the
newsgroup article. I have only one EPROM and it is a relatively square
one on the cornor of the board. I still tried removing it for 30
minutes with no luck. I have a Mini Etherprint Plus model. It is a
slightly smaller box than the original EtherPrint model. I noticed
that another newsgroup article off the link you provided also
mentioned that they had tried this method and it did not seem to work.

Have you been to Intel's website regarding Dayna products?
While they don't appear to have an answer regarding your specific
question, they do have some helpful information, as well as software
downloads.

I don't know how much this will help, but perhaps if you can identify
an exact model number it may help in locating an answer for you.

   I had been over there. I found in the manual where they say to call
customer support to learn how to reset the password. They had some
software but it was the version I already had. Thanks though.
