How many baby stores are there in the US? Both chains (e.g. Babies R
Us, BuyBuy Baby,USA Baby, etc.) in terms of total numbers as well as
mom & pop or smaller chain stores?

Your best source of data for all of your questions is the Economic
Census of the United States.  You'll want the data splits by
apropriate NAICS code:
