Hi,
We are a diverse business with many interests but are too small to
have an internal sourcing group to find the parts, material and
specialized software that we need from time to time.

I would have thought Google Answers would have sourcing experts on
hand and would be able to get top dollar for their work.

Will Google Answers be getting these experts on their service?

Where can we go to find fast, inexpensive materials sourcing online?

Thanks.

Why not just let us know what you're after, offer "top dollar" for an
answer, and let's see if we can accomodate your needs.

This is a great attitude. Why not indeed.
One element of Answers.Google.com that would help this would be having
it in the question category.

After all a software expert can be reasonably sure to find relevent
questions in the computers section while a procurement expert would
similarly benefit from a procurement category to bridge their work in
business, computers, science etc.

Most small companies get their 99% stuff from five or ten sources.
They could save a few bucks by going to more sources, but they tend to
stay with sources that rarely make errors. It would be challanging to
become an all purpose expert on sourses as obscure specifications are
occasionally vital and delivery on time can be lots more important
than price. A good supplier is often more aware of the needs than the
buyer or chief engineer. Neil
