i'd like to ask if there are any colleges in canada that offer
scholarships to international first year students wishing to enroll
for the fall 2005 term

A number of Canadian universities and colleges offer scholarships for
deserving international students. Two in particular ? The University
of Alberta and St. Thomas University ? stood out as having a greater
selection than most. Most institutions offer at least a couple, but
first-year students often aren't eligible. The list below contains a
variety of first-year international student scholarships offered by
Canadian institutions, in no particular order.

University of Alberta International Student Awards

Queen's University (Kingston, Ontario)

"A limited number of entrance scholarships, valued at $8,000 CDN, are
offered to International students (including American students)
entering the first year of any undergraduate program at Queen's.

The University College of the Cariboo (Kamloops, British Columbia)
