I want to know what SAT scores and GRE scores reflect equivalent competence. Note that you can't compare percentiles because a 50th %ile SAT score means average for college-bound students but a 50th %ile GRE score means average for grad school-bound students--a much more accomplished and competitive population. If this question can't be answered generally, I at least want to know what GRE score makes a test taker as distinguished as a 95th %ile SAT scorer. This is complicated by the fact that there have been multiple versions of the SAT and GRE. I'm most interested in those versions of the test that have existed in the last decade or so, but more info is always welcome. | |
