6 Articles of the Bill

A Bill passed in England in 1539 to secure uniformity in matters of religion.

As everyone knows, these were:

1: Transubstantiation
2: Sufficiency of Communion in One Kind
3: Clerical Celibacy
4: The Obligation of Monastic Vows
5: The Propriety of Private Masses
6: The Necessity of Auricular Confession

And, of course, the penalties included Death at the Stake.

Easy!

itsalphaandome-ga --

I am about to give up, but I do have one final suggestion that would
seem to be a long shot, except for the fact that I can come up with no
other candidates.

The "six aspects of the Bodhisattva" (Buddha-in-waiting) in Tibetan
Buddhism are generosity, ethics, patience, zeal, meditative
concentration and wisdom.

The problem may by the "technical" term is not "aspects" but the
Sanskrit word "paramitas" and that "paramitas" is usually translated
as "perfections." However, the term "aspect" is very common in
discourse of Buddhism principles and is sometimes used instead of
"perfections" in this phrase (as is "ideals").

Here is one Google search I devised to try to tease out relevant uses
of "aspects" in this connection. I am sure I could come up with more:

"6 OR six aspects of" bodhisattva generosity

Thanks for your excellent efforts, Probonopublico and Markj - it turns
out that the answer was 6 Archangels of the Bible. Beats me!
