Howdy!
First things first, let me get the disclaimer out of the way. If you
are not familiar with car audio equipment, basic electronics, and the
other skills required to install a CD changer, you do NOT want to do
this yourself. Having a professional install your equipment is
safer... it protects you from injury, and your car and equipment from
damage. Do-it-yourself installation may void the warranty on the
equipment or even your vehicle. Incorrect installation of car stereos
can cause problems not only with the audio components, but also with
your vehicle's electrical system, including parts that can be very
expensive to replace such as the onboard computer. Consider carefully
if you want to take the risk... especially if you are a beginner.
That being said, if you still want to do it yourself, here is what you
need to do:
1) PLAN. This is the most important step. Decide exactly where you
want to mount the changer, and make sure that will have enough cable
to reach, as well as any miscellaneous tools or components you may
need. Make sure you choose a mounting position where the CD changer
will stay DRY. If you are nervous about drilling, consider velcro...
either will work as long as it is stable, but test it after you mount
the changer to make absolutely sure. As well, decide where and how you
will mount the wired remote. Many people like to mount wired remotes
in the glove box or the boot, however, since the wireless remote for
the 565MXRF is IR and not RF, you will need line-of-sight to the IR
pickup. Sticking it to the dash with velcro is sometimes a good option
in this case.
2) Remove the center molding.

This page has a guide for installing a NEO35 MP3 JukeBox into an Acura
CL. The hookups and trunk mounting are the same, but please note you
will not be able to mount the wired remote into the glove box as it is
shown in the guide.
3) Remove the fuse panel, and remove the screw holding the front
panel. Then, remove the entire front panel (this is held on with
clips), as well as the dimmer plug.
4) Remove the side panel to access the antenna and other cables. Hook
them up and run the cables to the trunk, or wherever you mount the
changer... there are several different ways to do this. In the photo
guide, the author ran all of the cables behind the dash and under the
driver's door sill and around the back seat to the trunk. You should
be able to tuck the cables under the plastic door runner so you won't
have to remove panels.
5) You may or may not require an antenna adapter. The following guide

6) Test it BEFORE you reassemble the dash.

and components (i.e. how to crimp wires, use a clip-on wiring harness,
etc.) They have photos and pin-outs of audio-related components for

To remove the panels/disassemble the dash:
Remove any screws holding the molding (there should only be one or
two). Press gently in on edge of the molding until you can see the
clips. Use a clip remover tool (usually about $3 bucks at the auto
parts store, looks like one of those garden tools with the v-shaped
tip you pull dandelions with.) Some people use a flathead screwdriver
instead, but a clip removal tool is much easier and less likely to
damage anything. Push in to compress the clip, then gently pry the
piece out. Do this for the first few clips, then grab the molding by
the edge and pull to remove it. You will hear it pop as each clip
comes loose.
To locate the power connection:
You will see a wiring harness (wires with a plastic connector on the
end) attached to the back of the head unit. The following diagram will
show you the pin-out connections for the wiring harness:

You can connect a snap-on harness to your CD changer, or you can
splice to the wires directly. You can get both a snap-on wiring
harness and a splicing kit at the auto parts store. A wiring harness
is the preferred method; it's easier, looks more professional, and
keeps you from unnecessary cutting of wires in your car. You may still
need the splicing kit to connect the changer to the harness. You
should have two power wires on your changer. One goes to the constant
source of power (battery wire) and the other goes to the switched
12-volt source (ignition wire). The manual for your CD changer will
tell you which one is which.
To ground the power connection:
First, see if there is an existing ground and use that if you can.
(You will see wires bolted to the frame).
If not, you will need to ground the connection yourself. Scrape the
paint to expose bare metal on the vehicle (somewhere discrete), then
wrap the ground wire around a metal self-tapping screw and screw it
into the bare metal.
To reassemble the dash:
Replace any broken clips. Hold the molding in place, and push gently.
You will hear a popping noise as each clip snaps into place. Replace
any screws.
