Question ID: 45669
We found a ziploc bag with about 10-12 small (1/2 inch or so across)
pills at our workplace and we are trying to figure out what they are.
Our motives are not entirely pure - we want to get them back to their
rightful owner, but we are also dying of curiousity. The only clue we
have is that they are a tablet, sort of look like a basic aspirin, but
have the letter/numbers "L430" etched
into them on one side. The other side is blank. Can you tell me what
this pill is?

Thanks for the VERY QUICK turnaround time on this - I was secretly
hoping that the pills were are something very exciting and/or
scandalous, but I'm glad that they are just regular ol' generic pain
relief. :)

If no one is able to id the pill, then the best place to look is in
the Physician's Desk Reference (PDR) which has photos and descriptions
of all medications. The book is available in libraries or bookstores.
The online version in only accessible to medical practitioners.

You aren't the only one looking for this it seems...

Sorry to be a bringer of bad news, but it's a caffeine pill. :( I found
an L430 on the ground at a concert and thought it was something, but I
was unpleasently surprised. For the record, the percs I get say
either "512" (5/500) or "Endo 602" (5/325).
