Starts off like this, a woman is being chased by a big Asian gangster,
real mean lookin, like 7 feet tall, 300 pounds. He chases her all
around, (maybe up n down an escalator?) then finally catches her and
kills her (with a bear hug?)

Now I want to know the name of the movie, but also I remember (how
dont ask me) the MUSIC that was playin. Like an arpeggiated piano
melody, dark and foreboding. If you can tell me that song that would
be cool too.

Well, that's Toru Tanaka (aka Charles Kalani) who played "The
Professor," a henchman in Chuck Norris' "An Eye for an Eye" (1981).

In the movie, Tanaka's character strangles a woman played by Rosalind
Chao in the movie.

"This Chuck NOrris movie has a scene where Rosalind Chao gets
strangled by Professor Toru Tanaka and her feet are shown with one
shoe having fallen off"

I have no details about the music other than it was composed by
William Goldstein, and one viewer describes it as follows:

"Indeed, the soundtrack isn?t doing the sequence any favors, either;
the dull, elevator style orchestra music plays at exactly the same
level ? and in fact is exactly the same music ? whether a calm driving
sequence is being shown on the screen or if someone?s allegedly being
beaten to a pulp."

So, shall we consider this question answered?
