Hi, I am looking to find information on what the reaction has been
from the business community (regulators, accountants, industry
leaders, investors, media) in the UK concerning financial statements
and annual reports provided by the Big 4 (PwC, EY, D&T, KPMG)
accounting firms in the UK. How long have they been providing these
reports (considering that the US firms, under GAAP, are not required
to do so)? Has there been a demand for more detailed information? Has
the reaction been positive or negative overall? Have there been
questions raised over partner compensation? What types of suggestions
have been made in terms of including or excluding certain types of
information from the reports?
