Burt has been erroneously credited with inventing the ice cream truck in 1920 but images of earlier ice cream delivery trucks can be found dating to around 1917 (give or take a couple of years), several years before Burt even got into the business. GALIKER'S 1915 ICE CREAM TRUCK http://www.gallikers.com/about/images/1915-truck.jpg WILLIAMS' ICE CREAM TRUCK (may be even earlier than 1915) http://www.wpl.lib.oh.us/library/overview/loc_hist/graphics/ice_cream_truck.gif NORFOLK ICE CREAM TRUCK http://collections.ic.gc.ca/simcoe/photos/business/icecreamtruck.jpg WHOLESALE ICE CREAM TRUCK (may predate all of them) http://www.classicphotos.com/wagons/886.jpg These are just a few I managed to find that clearly disputes Mr. Burt's claim. tutuzdad-ga |

...I should have said, "disputes the claims made in Mr. Burt's behalf" since I have not seen any documentation where Mr. Burt himself claimed to have invented this vehicle concept. Regards; tutuzdad-ga |
