I MAY have heard this song in a commercial approximately 3 to 4 days
ago. I have no idea what channel or what the commercial may have been
for (or if this was in fact a commercial!) The only lyrics that I can
tell you are, with emphasis provided: "you're in my eyeeeees, you're
in my dreams...you are my eyeeees, you are my dreams". The only part I
remember seeing is a road (brick?) with buildings on both sides. A
younger male with a messenger bag goes into a building on the right
side. The whole commercial had a purplish blue tint to it--more of a
night setting than bright daylight. I think it may have said what the
song was on the commercial (in white text at the bottom).

Again, I could be wrong...but I KNOW I heard this song...I know it
exists somewhere, but I can't find it anywhere. I need the
title/artist of this song and where I could find it. That's about all
the information I can remember. All I'm 100% sure of is that the
lyrics say "you're in my eyes, you're in my dreams, you are my eyes,
you are my dreams."

Also I forgot to mention that the singing voice was most definitely a male.

If I had to describe the voice, it would be that he is possibly an
alternative/rock singer who MIGHT play guitar as well. Other than
this, I'm not sure! Thank you!

Yeah when I said modern, I meant as in a recent song, like... one that
was written this century. It's a rock song, not dance or techno.
Thanks for the help though!

Alright so I've discovered this. The song was in the movie "So I
Married an Axe Murderer." The lyrics were sung by Mike Myers as he's
playing the role of his father, in the sequence where they're at the
parents' house. If anyone could find out what song he is singing, that
would rock. Thanks.

Rod Stewart? You're in my heart, you're in my soul...

You?re in my heart, you?re in my soul
You?ll be my breath should I grow old
You are my lover, you?re my best friend
You?re in my soul

Of course, it's not dreams and it's not eyes, but it would have been a
song you would have heard before ... Would probably have been in a
commercial.

Other possibility is Peter Gabriel, although not likely. "In Your Eyes"
in your eyes
the light the heat
in your eyes
I am complete

Of course, since the Internet is GLOBAL, the country in which you saw
this commercial might be important to determining the artist.
