According to this source Soriano has had long-standing disputes with
rivals, resulting in charges ranging from libel to possible criminal
activity. This interesting article gives some insight into how
Soriano, at the age of 17, became enchanted with his beliefs and how
he later broke away (or was kicked out, depending on who tells the
story) to form him own congregation.

because he claims he has this power.  He even says he talks with God
or with Jesus Christ.  About the P10 million ransom that the Abu
Sayyaf is asking for his release, Almeda can very easily pay that kind

Classification Board suspended Soriano?s television program citing a
1986 Presidential Decree giving them the ?power to screen, review, and
examine all movie and TV programs and to delete materials that it
