I think the town you are thinking of is, in fact, Villefranche sur
Mer(an "e" not an "a"), just outside Nice in the Alpes Maritime. Look
at this site : http://www.cote.azur.fr/hotels-ville_villefranche-sur-mer_france.htm
. It supplies a list of 3*; 2* and 1* hotels in the village. I
appreciate that you are looking for B&B, but the village is so small I
doubt you'll have a huge choice to choose from. You can always look at
B&B in Nice (5 minutes west by car from Villefranche) or Beaulieu sur
Mer (5 minutes east by car).
