Depending on what you are wanting to do with this exactly. There are a few ideas that I could suggest. If you are wanting to just learn better grammer and puncuation then you can use Microsoft Word. If you are just wanting to work on your typing then you can find many cheap typing tutorials. If you are wanting something to deal directly with a course like this you could check with your local community college as more than likley they do have online courses for this subject. But the price varies from school to school so unless I know where you lived then I cannot give you the specifics. So as I said it all depends on what you are wanting to gain from this. |

Thanks but I am looking for exactly what I have already described; English writing course. Not a typing course, not a grammar course. I am aware about community colleges. The problem there is that the level of English taught is very low, because of the low intellectual level of the students that attend such colleges. I am a foreigner with two terminal graduate degrees, I know what I want to write, I just need help with puting those thoughts in the writing "American way". I hope that the above clarifications will help |

Based on the quality of what you have submitted here I suspect all you need to learn is what might be termed common usage. Depending on what you intend to do (technical writing, novel, journalism, business writing, etc.) I suspect you will do just as well or better by merely studying current examples of other writing in your area of interest. No one can really teach you to write, you can only learn to write and you would probably do well to just pursue that on your own. No real writer I know has time to do any formal teaching anyway so you are learning from the second best if you take a course - people who couldn't find enough work as writers. There are exceptions, but they are very rare. You might also check out various online writing clubs where fellow writers will criticize your work - that's free and can be very useful. |

Yes, I understand which is why I mentioned joining one of the online clubs which will provide a great deal more feedback than most teachers. |

You might also look at the ads which are probably appearing at the top of this page. There are even programs which can improve your writing - remember, I am merely commenting, not offering an actual answer. |
