Hi, I am trying to get online support from microsoft for my windows
xp. However when I go to Help and support, support, there is nothing
that mentions get help from microsoft. My xp came ready installed on
my compaq laptop, and i have registered it with microsoft. Is it
possible that xp home does not have this help feature. I have a xp
proffessional that I have used the microsoft online support with a few
times. Please let me know.

Howdy dbolour-ga,

As your Compaq computer came with Windows XP Home preinstalled, there does
not appear to be "no charge" support for you.  There is a "per request"
service which runs $35.00 per incident, available through Microsoft.

Compaq has email, etc. support as well, and they are your main course to
support issues for your computer and the Windows XP Home installed on it.

- Click on "Email a Support Specialist" in the upper right hand corner.
- Click on "Desktops & Workstations" in the middle.
- Click on "Desktop PCs" in the middle.

Keep on "drilling down" to find your computer model, or use the "Search"
box to find the support page for your computer.
