Folks...I've heard there are thousands of people, most that work out
of their home, that will promote another's website for a salary or
commission. I'm confident this is the case but i have no earthly idea
how to find them, advertise directly to them, how to email them, if
there are any employment agencies that specialize in that type work,
websites I can go to, or frankly, anything. I had rather give my
money to some deserving person than pay some newspaper's classified
section. My website will be up in three weeks and I'm selling a
service. As crazy as it sounds, my service is to teach people how to
make better use of their advertising. Unfortunatoly, I can't help
myself....please give this one the old college try...large tip will
ensue...randy

Randy,

If I were in your position I would post the job on Monster.com:

http://recruiter.monster.com/login.asp?redirect=http%3A%2F%2Frecruiter%2Emonster%2Ecom%2Findex%2Easp

If that link doesn't work, go here and then click the orange "ENTER
HERE" box for employers. It's in the upper right corner:

Randy,

Let me see if I get this right- you want to find a person to promote
your site- or you want to market to people who promote others sites?

*****If you want to market to people that promote others sites****
Alot of people that market others websites for commission also do web
site promotion through SEO (natural & PPC). (Some people don't see the
difference- will not be explaining it here) Personally, as I do both
and web design - I subscribe to various newsletters and online groups.
Most of the newsletters come in the form of e magazines which often
have advertisements on them. I can provide a list of these if you
would like. You may also want to search for companies to email or
contact directly- do a search in google for seo companies or web
promotion in order to find the sites of those that offer these
services. Most people offering these services realize the need to
keep up to date on the newest trends, so we are always pulling up
searches on "internet marketing" "SEO" etc. etc. you may find this a
great way to attract them by using programs like a pay per click
adsense program such as offered by google.

Once your site is up I suggest creating your own newsletter which
visitors can subscribe to freely. This will not only keep you freh in
their minds as thy read the newsletter- but also add your link sites
that advertise newsletters, which will help in bringing in more
visitors. And nowadays you don't have to worry about creating all the
newsletter content yourself, content could be pulled from writers that
contribute free articles inturn for links and credit.

Best policy it to go to where your clients would be found. I have the
list of the e mags and newsletters that are popular and sell
advertising if thats the road you want to try.

BTW would like to see your site but doubting that I will remember to
pull it up in march. Good luck with it. Comment if you want the list.

List of newsletters:

http://www.addpro.com/webmaster_resources.htm - offers a advertise here link
http://www.1stsearchranking.com/affiliate-program.htm - offers a
affilate program to advertise your service to webmasters
http://searchenginewatch.com/ - offers alot of everything
http://www.webpronews.com/advertising.html - one of my fav
newsletters, link to advertise
http://www.entireweb.com/adcenter/newsletter/ - link to advetise in newsletter
http://www.sitepronews.com/ - link on top left of page to email about
advertising on newsletter.

Let me know if you would like some more.

On the authers- you DO NOT have to pay for the content. These people
actually write and you are given permission to reproduce articles
free. One such site offering these articles is:
http://www.searchengineworkshops.com/articles.html
If you would like more such sites i have a list of those too!

(see what people with to much spare time do all day?? :D)

i forgot to answer you "BTW" is not a person it is "BY THE WAY" as in
"BY THE WAY I WOULD LIKE TO SEE YOUR SITE......"

Other short cuts you may see used yet don't know what they mean.

BRB- be right back
PPC- pay per click
SEO- search engine optimatizion
TTYL- talk to you later
CSS- cascading style sheets
g2g- got to go

:D smiley face
:( sad face
:O surprized face

I am a marketing director for a company, and I use an independant
contractor to do exactly what you are asking. He updates my site for
me, lists us with overture etc.. we have one of the top rated sites in
my industry. Feel free to email me and I will give you his contact

- Contact some account managers at various affiliate networks. Don't
worry about the ones who want you to pay money to join. There's a
couple listed http://www.profitpuppy.com/affiliate-networks.htm (don't
worry about iwhiz), but contact a few of them, explain that you are
interested as joining there networks as an advertiser and tell them
about your service.

Once you get set up this method of advertising is great - you only pay
for results and you get free publicity in the process. Usually a
commission is involved for sales (part of it goes to the network, part
of it would go to the affiliate who promoted your site). If you are
more interested in generating leads, or just visitors to your site, a
good affiliate network should also be able to help you set that up.

Anyway, the end result is, as you said, you get thousands of ordinary
people working from home trying to promote your site to earn a small
comission. It's an incredibly effective way to advertise.

If you need any help with this or any more advice, please feel free to
contact me. I've got a list of over 150 affiliate networks. I would
have to know more about your service or product before recommending
any of them.

Is your site a blog?
If so, there is a good resource site at <a

blog marketing promotion and much more.
