Is the company Product Registry, North American Data Entry
Headquarters, P.O. Box 9056, Hicksville, NY 11802,
customerservice@5staroutlet.com, a legitimate business providing a
legitimate service or is this a trick to get my money and provide me
with nothing?

Dear jamiebrehm,

I advise against dealing with International Product Registry. Their
offers are scams, they are a fraud company. Please read this case
reported to Rip-Off Report:
http://www.badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff94309.htm

They are also mentioned several times with examples of their scam
messages on the "Unclaimed Parcel/Prize Scam" alert website of
DoShelp.com:
http://www.doshelp.com/Scams-fraud/unclaimed_parcels.htm

I have also found their "website", which is rather an ugly ruin:
https://www.5staroutlet.com/weborder/faq.asp

When I searched for the owner of the "5staroutlet.com" domain, this was the result:

Organization:
      Global
      Global Global
      P O Box 9056
      Hicksville, Ny 11802
      US
      Phone: 212-605-0115
      Email: Chris_MGR@5staroutlet.com

First, I doubt that there is any organization of the name "Golbal,
Global Global". Second, reputable businesses do not hide behind a P.O.
box. Third, the telephone number belongs to Marketing Capital Corp. in
Madison Avenue, New York. Not to any company in Hickory, NY, named
5staroutlet, International Product Registry, Global, or the like. The
registration data of the domain fulfills obviously only one purpose:
To avoid that the fraudsters can be traced by the victims of their
scams.

A brif additional search revealed that P.O. Box 9056 in Hicksville is
used as a pseudo-address by numerous dubious "companies" sending out
spam and scam mails:

It is almost unnecessary to say that the database of registered
companies in the State of New York does not include International
Product Registry.

Therefore, my advice is clear: Don't deal with this "company". It is a
scam. You will only lose money and get nothing in return.

Regards,
Scriptor
