If the license is subject to a fee, you can't get it for free without
violating the law. Google Answers will not provide sites for "cracks",
serial numbers, activation keys and the like since that would be
illegal.

Hi, another way of putting my question is, You know how Microsoft
licenses their software. You have to activate it online and enter a
product key. That is the kind of licensing I want to add to my
programs.

Check out http://www.gnu.org/licenses/licenses.html

This assumes you are not making any money from licensing your
software. If this is a commercial, for-profit venture, a different
form of license is advisable. I am sure Researcher extraordinaire
Scriptor will provide one.

Free licensing software seems to be pretty scarce. You might be

Hey ndiamond,

You might take a look through my comments here
http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=338342.

I do not know if those links still work, and those were source code
licenses (I think you are licensing object code, right), but it might
get you started. Presumably you could build some of that licensing
language into an end-user interface to which they must agree by
clicking a button or something after they install your software.

Hey ipfan-ga

Thanks, thoes links helped. The license agreements will be good so I
can have an "End User License Agreement"

Thanks again
