I'm looking for the name of a movie about the lives of 4 girls. One
scene occurs in which a guy and a girl are talking, and girl tells the
guy that he doesn't want to get involved with her, and he doesn't know
why, and she tells him because she has aids. And you find out at the
very end that all the girls are sisters. |

Hi emoboy7,
Is there anything else you can remember about the movie? Any names of
the actresses or characters, what year you saw the movie, etc...? Any
little detail can help in the search.
Regards,
Rainbow

I don't know any of the actors/actresses. I know that I saw it about
3 years ago. It was modern (probably 1990 or later). The plot jumps
around between the 4 (I think it was 4) different sisters and their
respective lives, but you don't know until the end that they're all
sisters until they all meet at their parents house for a get-together.
This is about all I can remember.

Hi emoboy7,
Does this sound like your movie?
"...follows the lives and loves of four close, but very different,
sisters of the Reed family living in Winetka, Illinois. Alex, the
oldest, is a wealthy, slightly snobish, WASP wife of a plastic
surgeron. Teddy, is a free-spirited, artist/drifter seeking to find
her place in life. Georgie, is a typical suburban housewife trying to
keep the family together. Frankie, the youngest, is an overacheiving,
businesswoman trying to make it big in the world."
Waiting to hear your views.

Rainbow

Do you think it could be "Playing by Heart" (1998) starring Angelina
Jolie, Gillian Anderson and Madeline Stowe as sisters?
http://crazy4cinema.com/Review/FilmsP/f_playing_heart.html
Apparently, the detail about the women being sisters isn't revealed until the end.
From a viewer review on MrCranky.com:
"Anyways it ends in a really stupid way....you find out that all the
girls are sisters"

Is "Playing by Heart" the right movie?
