Hi Carl, Since I can so well understand your "issue" about Bob I have been sending some emails around the world to see if I can locate a duplicate ( although I realise that one would never be even close to the 'real Bob".....) For some reason the link doesnt work when I put it in my email..... www.freewebs.com/finddinosaurbob has to be typed in in order to work.... Is there a way I can make it work as that you only have to click on it? |

Hi Cynthia, It does work in here, but I got all the emails back, people telling me the link doesnt work. So I adviced them to type the URL themselves, but is just not so polite to have them "work" while I have a request........ Any ideas? Anne-Marie ps I use hotmail, might that be "the problem"? |

Thanks for all your comments. I'm not sure what to do about the link not working. Maybe if the whole URL is typed out, it would work: http://www.freewebs.com/finddinosaurbob Thanks again for all your help! |

Hi Carldjensen, thanks, but that URL doesnt work either in my hotmail.....well I just asked everybody politely to type it out themselves....no problem. What steps have you taken apart from making that website www.freewebs.com/finddinosaurbob ? perhaps posting on http://www.lostandfound.com is an option? Anne-Marie |

I have posted on lostandfound.com. I also checked the lost and founds and called the TSA at both airports (O'Hare and Los Angeles International). Finally, I reported a lost item with United Airlines baggage services at both Chicago and LA. Thanks again. |

well, had 10 emails answered so far from "dinosaurtoyssellingcompanies", and nobody recognized Bob. I have posted the link to your page on freewebs in 36 forums and nothing yet either.... have thought about a huge international toyfair coming up in New York in February, I mean somebody should "know" Bob I'd say...... ..or could start a "chain letter"??? One other thing I thought of: I have seen similar toys before. By similar, I mean toys that look like animals or whatever that have "grabbing arms" similar to Dinosaur Bob. Maybe there is a name for this type/class of toy? I have no idea; just trying to think of everything... |

We live in Chicago and my wife sent an email to one of their writers about the whole Dinosaur Bob incident. Amazingly, the paper is going to run a story about in the February 20th issue. My wife is being interviewed tomorrow. It will be in their "Q" section. The paper can be read online at www.chicagotribune.com . |

Hi Carl, Nice article in the chicago tribune. I read you put Bob in the green hat, couldnt it be that he is still tucked in there and that the hat was brought to the lost and found department of the airport? Did you also searched for the green hat? Just a thought. Anne-Marie |

Hi Anne-Marie- Yes, we've looked for the hat also. Whenever we've called anyone, we have asked if they have found the hat or the dinosaur. Thanks for reading the story. I noticed that this is closed now, but I'd still be happy to pay the 200$ for a duplicate. Thanks again! -Carl |

Hi Carldjensen, Looking through the photo gallery of Bob, I noticed that he had an uncanny resemblance to 'Godzilla' albeit with a much longer neck... I remember also buyiing\wining something similar several years ago at a fair/circus in England. Unfortunatly I dont have it anymore, but perhaps it's an avenue that maybe looked into. Good luck in finding Bob, and please keep us posted on his status. |

Ha ha. The original Bob has yet to come back. However, as a result of the newspaper article, we did get Bob's twin. I'm going to update the website (www.dinosaurbob.com) soon. Thanks for checking in! |
