We have had a 04 Lincoln Town car for over a year now. There are now
10K miles on it. Twice in that time, (once yesterday)the car has
accelerated rapidly in a parking lot. I would like to know if this car
has a history of this problem.

   I beleive the problem that you are reefering too is answered in
this website link.  Allthough it is not for the year 04 lincoln town
cars it sems like it has been a trend in the past.  Another
recomendation is calling the company and ask if there have been any
recalls for your car.  Seeing as it is a newish car it should still be
under waurentee.  So they will replace any recalls, and or problems
with the car if you have a "bumber to bumber" waurentee.  i hope this
