Dear Google, I have a question. I have had a cabbage patch doll for over 16 years and I've been asked in a bet to try to find out the real name of my doll. Do you know of a collecter or book or types of things on the doll to help me identify this? |

If you have a mass marketed Cabbage Patch Kid - made by Coleco or Hasbro and don't have the birth certificate anymore, there is no way to trace your doll's name. Part of the Cabbage Patch Kid's appeal is that they are one of a kind, meaning that each Kid had a different name, birthday, hair style, eye colour and outfit. No two were alike. Coleco, the manufacturer of Cabbage Patch Kids went bankrupt in 1989 and all adoption records were wiped out with the company. Cheers, Leah |
