I'm looking for a breakdown of the commercial information service
market that targets consumers in the UK.
By commercial I mean that the information is offered by a corporation
for pay; by information service I mean a service that provides
information of one particular kind, such as business directories
(Yellow Pages),
stock prices, phone directory enquiries, etc.
(I'm NOT interested in news corporations like REUTERS that target only
corporations.)
A satisfying answer contains a list ordered by decreasing revenue of
the types of information services that consumers have spent the most
money on, with associated revenues, quoting the sources and year
(Ideally, all values would be covering the same year (e.g. 2003),
but I am aware this might be asking too much.) |
