I heard a report that the following Recording Artists (Lance Bass,
Justin Guarini and David Stapp) died in 2004.  Is this true? And what
were the circumstances of their deaths?

I found nothing to support the fact that any of the three recording
artists mentioned have passed away.

Notables Who Died in 2004 in the Arts is a comprehensive list of deaths in 2004.

In addition, I performed a search on all 3 artists listed and they all
appear to be live and well.

Thanks, I guess that clarifies it.  I happened to get a glimpse of an
MTV show last night and they said that they wanted to memorialize
three artists that will be missed as move into 2005.  At that poit
they put up three still pictures with music as we have all seen when
someone of celebrity passes.  I thought it was odd as well, when I
heard the news. But just wanted to clarify.
