I do not know if you are using a Windows-based PC or Mac.
For Windows...
1. Go to the "My Computer Icon"
2. Then, Go to the Tools >> Folder Options
3. Select the View tab
4. Under "Hidden Files and Folders" make sure that "Show hidden files
and folders" is selected. "Hit apply to All Folders" and "Apply" and
"OK"
5. Now, go to the Ipo icon under "My Computer" (This should act like a hard drive)
6. Open the "iPod_Control" folder
7. Open the "Music" folder
8. Inside the music folder there should be several folders like "F00",
"F01", etc. At this point the easiet thing to do would be to select
all of those folders (assuming you want to copy all the music that is
currently on your iPod back to the computer) and copy all of those
folders into your iTunes directory.
9. Then, add the directory you just copied all of your files to on the
harddrive to the iTunes library.
Hopefully, you have keep iTunes directory organized selected. As this
will then organize the folders according to that system. The danger
is that you could end up with duplicates of a lot of your songs and
have to delete them by hand.
I hope that helps. I also hope that explaining how to do that is not
prohibited in any way.
