I am looking for the actual FTP.EXE file that will work with Novell's
DOS client. This file was part of the Lan Workplace product that gave
TCP/IP access to Novell does machines.

Hi bigjosh,

Have you tried using Window's built-in DOS program ftp.exe?

"In DOS, run ftp.exe from the LanWorkplace for DOS directory
(sometimes \net\bin, sometime elsewhere)."
http://www.umass.edu/psychology/netin.html

Step by Step with DOS FTP:
"First, select Run from the Start menu and type ftp into the text box
and hit enter. This runs a DOS program called ftp.exe."

Please let me know if this works for you.

For many reasons, the [any] Windows version of FTP.EXE will not work
under DOS - and espcially under Novell's Lan Workplace that has it's
own TCP/IP stack that is unrelated to Windows' WINSOCK API.

I specifically need the Novell distributed FTP client that works with
thier DOS TCP/IP stack. It does not appear to be available for
download from Novell's website anymore, but I imiagine it must be
somewhere in the internet.

For the record, I do have a licence for this product and just need the
EXE file. On top of that, I think Novell released this software for
free after it became comercially worthless and it was available for
download on thier website for a while. I am not looking for 'wares.

Thanks.

This any help?

Notes On Using AnzioNet With Lan WP TELAPI
(These instructions now apply to versions 4 and 5 of LWP, as well as
LAN WorkGroup.)
Novell's Lan Workplace for DOS (and LAN WorkGroup for DOS) provides,
among other things, TCP/IP capability at the DOS level. AnzioNet has
been especially adapted to work in this environment.
