May I install Windows XP Home on multiple PCs of my own?

What I mean, is, this: If I have two computers of my own (if they are
both my private property), am I allowed to install the software on
both of them, even at very different times?

Legally you can not, you would have to purchase a seperate license for
each machine. The current license you have is only good for 1 machine.

you' can't do that - Im serious about this kind of thing.. i mean if
its for home use and your family thats acceptable, MS: will forever
hate you.. but if you make a business and run all product ID's all the
same... and you have friends that know about it too ... ouch, 5-
10,000 fine there  and a WARNING letter in big RED bold letters...

No,  here is why, you will have to use the access code to register.
Once that is done, they have record. Then when you try to activate
second copy, it will tell you to call. Then when you call you will
have to tell someone uh, no I um reloaded my machine ( I had to format
and had a system meltdown etc. etc.) Now can this be done? Yes.  Is it
ethical? Not in the least, and ask freakzoman mentioned its expensive.
 Now, will they come after you? Not likely howver it is kind of like
speeding, you can do it forever, but once they catch you there is a
hefty fine to   pay.
