I believe that BuShips presented these cases to ship Captain's who
completed a command school. The rosewood box is 10 inches in length, 5
1/2 inches from front to back, 1 1/4 inches high. Inside there are two
compasses, each 6 3/4 inches in length, one with two steel pointers,
one with steel pointer and   pencil lead. There is a fine magnifying
glass 3 1/2 inches round with rosewood handle, and a small
screwdriver. All in black velvet. Handsome package. I could furnish a
digital photo.
