Hello tdcenterprises-ga,

What are you good at? What do other people think you're good at? What
kind of work experience do you have? What have you learned on your own
since you don't even have a GED? How do you spend your time? How have
you earned money so far? Why did you pick the fields you've listed?
The more you tell us about yourself, the more likely people will be
able to comment. Thanks.

I have done web work for my brother mostly, as well as shipping and
managing his business from time to time. Also ran a flea market
business for a while, till found out imports merchandise isn't so
legitimate. I have built or edit some websites and taught myself
some php. I made ameaturish program to help me mass build some
auctions for him. Problem is each time i go to do it, I have to
relearn a little about what I did, coz I get lost. Overall I am
usually his go to tech guy, even though I don't do too much.

I know how to sell what he sells, but I need a 'better' product.
Something I am more comfortable with selling and more passionate
about. That is probably my goal. And have that support me through
school, for computers and other sciences or smarty stuff.

Just keep asking questions and I'll be as candid as I can. I am good
with computers and I pick up things fast. Just dropped out due to
family/personal probs.

Hi Tdcenterprises....

What type of degrees/education do you have?

It is rough when you have problems that knock you off track. I don't
disagree with the prior comment about education although every dime I
earn ties back to my Doctorate. Arguably the most lucrative place for
one who has drive is sales. If you find aproduct that you believe, it
should be easy to sell. Be sure not to let anyone discourage you. If
someone gives you a negative, measure it by their motive. If your
best interest is not at heart, ignore it! Good luck.

Hi kid! First let me tell you to not get annoyed at my observations.
Then let me tell you to stop what you are doing and think, and wait! I
am fifty-three, and when I was 18, I thought I knew everything too
[trust me, you believe that somewhere insidde or you wouldn't be
taking the chances you are planning to]. I started with nothing and
got no help from anybody. I moved around [there was a girl involved]
and went through several different kinds of jobs before I ended up in
construction. Thirty years later, without formal education, I have
ended up with a struggling one-man electrical business. I use a
website to try and build up some business
[http://www.wilberelectrical.com]. Trust me, you aren't probably the
next Edison, either. I have been in busoiness several times, married
late and more than once. Spent my life on nothing much.
Want some GOOD advice?
Stop what you are doing and sit down someplace.
Stop thinking about your girl...it is statistically probable that you
will neither marry her, nor be with her in ten years, though you may
be sending her money if you two are foolish enough to have babies. [if
so, you may as well just slit your wrists now...][am a divorced
non-custodial dad-it hurts forever]
Figure out where you want to be in ten years and chart the SHORTEST ROUTE to it!
DO what it takes to get what you want.
WEB WORK?-everything is going overseas to places where they pay $10 a day!
Sales?-most people don't make a living in sales-go visit and talk to
some sales people who are really making it, find out what it takes-be
honest with yourself-can you do what it takes?
Life goes by really quick. When you are thirty five, though the days
til then will drag by, this will be just yesterday when you look back,
trust me on this.
Do the things now that you want to be able to look back and see completed.
First things first, though. Get God in your life! It took me til I was
forty to read the Bible, and it left me with a question that changed
my life. Or do you believe we are just a cosmic chemical accident?
[consider a hurricane blowing through a junkyard and an oil refinery
and assembling a fully operational 747 as the result?] God has a plan
for you-ask him what it is
all my best wishes

Have you thought of using a career coach?
One I have used myself is at www.upcoaching.co.uk, otherwise search
via www.ukclc.net or the International Coaching Federation
As a starting point for you, a few questions:
What is it that seperates your financial future to your career in your
mind see original statement)?
In building a career, to be successful you will have to put something
of yourself into it so...
What would your perfect career offer you, in other words, what are you
career values?
Where do your natural interests lie?
How can you tie these two areas together?
What are your key skills that you can offer an employer?
What are all the careers that would utilise these skills?
Which of these are you naturally drawn to?

Trust your intuition and good luck
