There is a web site, www.artcigaspipeline.com, an excellent repository
for information on this subject. Whenever I have tried to access this
sight in last few months, the response I get is that the website
cannot be found. Does the site still exist? If so, how can I reach
it. If not, where can I find the information that was posted on the
site before it closed?

Hi davidga,

Apparently, the website stopped being published when Dave Harbour was
appointed Commissioner (Regulatory Commission of Alaska) in 2003.

Biography of Commissioner Dave Harbour (includes photo):
"Before his RCA appointment, his company published a public service
web page, Northern Gas Pipelines, which became, 'the objective,
one-stop-shop for Canadians and Americans requiring current news,
maps, history and technical references regarding Arctic gas pipeline
projects'."

The closest thing I could find which would have weekly updates, is the
Petroleum News. However, it is not free.

Petroleum News (by subscriptions):

I'm sorry this wasn't exactly the news you were hoping for. If you
have any questions, please post a clarification request *before*
closing/rating my answer and I'll be happy to reply.

Thank you,
hummer

The web site was accessable as recently as November 2004, so I don't
believe it has anything to do with Harbour's appointment. Where can I
access the info that was posted before it closed? I'm familiar with
Petroleum News, but they don't have much info.

Hi davidga,

Here you go:

April 2001 - Feb 2004:
<http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.arcticgaspipeline.com>

I guess I was just trusting the biographer when he said "Before his
RCA appointment, his company published a public service web page...".
At any rate, I wanted to send you the archive link without further
delay - I'll poke around and see if I can't find anything else for
you.

Regards,
hummer

Domain names in the .com and .net domains can now be registered
with many different competing registrars. Go to http://www.internic.net
for detailed information.

   Domain Name: ARCTICGASPIPELINE.COM
   Registrar: GO DADDY SOFTWARE, INC.
   Whois Server: whois.godaddy.com
   Referral URL: http://registrar.godaddy.com
   Name Server: NS2.EV1SERVERS.NET
   Name Server: NS1.EV1SERVERS.NET
   Status: ACTIVE
   Updated Date: 19-sep-2004
   Creation Date: 11-mar-2001
   Expiration Date: 11-mar-2007

i suggest you contact godaddy.com and see if they have any info.

articgaspipeline.com probably did not pay the bill to godaddy.
