Please find a Photograph of Lt. Thomas Smith Taylor of the 6th Alabama
Infantry Regiment Company G, The "autaga rifles".

Lt. Taylor was the son of Thomas Creed Taylor of Milton Alabama in
Autauga County. He was 27 years old in 1861. He was married to Sarah
Elizabeth Alexander on 21 September 1858 in Autauga County Alabama. He
lived in Milton Alabama and had three sons John A., William H., and
Thomas. His occupation was farmer. He was killed in action at he
battle of Cold Harbor on 6 June 1864 He is buried at Oakwood Cemetary
in Richmond Va. in Div. F, Row 5, Grave 2. After the war his wife
Sarah Elizabeth Alexander Taylor was remarried to B.B. Langford on 10
July 1867.

There is another Lt. Thomas S. Taylor that fought in the war that is
not the one I am seeking. He is referenced in David E Johnson ( David
Emmons) 1845-1917 book entitled " The Story of a Confederate Boy in
the Civil War" Glass and Prudhomme co. This is NOT repeat NOT, the
Thomas S. Taylor I am looking for.

Have you visited the MSN Group 'Atauga at War?' It lists your Thomas
S. Taylor in the roster. There are no pics of him there, but there
may be someone else in the group that can help with a source.
