Hi,

I'm trying to learn the name of a place that I saw on the travel
channel or discovery channel a few months ago.

I don't remember much from the show like the name of it or when it was
or what specific channel it was. I believe it might have been top ten
places of mystery or top ten bizarre buildings or something along
those lines

The place I remember was a weird big old house built on a mountain-top
somewhere in what I believe was the appalachian mountains. I think it
was virginia or west virginia but i don't know that for sure.

The place, like I said, was built on a mountain top and had a big walk-way
that extended out over the edge of the mountain and had no visible
support.

The place was filled with all kinds of weird rooms. One of the rooms
had a display of animatronic dolls in it. Another room was made up
like a cave.

It was sort of like an entire Disney world "Dark" ride made into a mansion.

I'd like to know the name of the place and it's location and if it is
still open for tours.

Thanks

I wanted to add that I'm only about 70% sure that the place was in the
appalachian mountains.

It could have been any of the other mountain ranges in the u.s.

Pretty sure it was the appalachian mountains though

I wonder if this might have been one of the houses featured in the
"Extreme Homes" series on HGTV.

You might have seen Frank lloyd Wright's "House On The Rock" in Spring
Green, Wisconsin.
