How to grab web content for reports into a file on local drives?
I would like to create several customized reports (for example with
crystal reports). A lot of information is saved in our intranet and is
displayed in HTML-Files. I would like to grab specific information and
import it into the report. But Crystal Reports seems to be able to do
that only with local files.
Is there a client-software available (open-source), that can help me
as a non-programmer to easily automate these steps?

There is no answer at this time.

It's not easy for a *non* programmer, but the Lynx web browser can (I
think) be called from a script, retrieve a html file over http, and
then either save to a file or pipe the html into something like perl
to extract the data.

Yes, this would be a possibility, but will need a programmer. May be,
this is the best way, but it is not flexible and not fast. I am
searching for an "easy-to-use-dummy-software". :-)

Here is a piece of freeware where you can automate things.

I've never used it myself. It may require coding.

There are also lots of other non-freeware out there that "record"
mouse clicks and keystokes.
