You can run many many companies from your home with a computer,
broadband and phones.

For phones, get yourself roadrunner internet (cable broadband) and
setup yourself a Vonage : http://www.vonage.com account for phone
service. You can do almost anything with this phone service and is
great for home business because you can add toll free service to your
line(s) for 5 dollars a month. Very good for the small business home
user. Plus it's the best and cheapest way to setup a home business.
With a business account you get a free fax line too.

2nd, Pick what you want to do. Do you want to sell products? Have a
online news site and make money from ads? Do you want to make
websites? Database work? That would require school hours. How about
Stocks? Many companies today outsource business to people that work
from home. Such as billing, tech support, cold calling, sales etc..
Find what you want to do with your business. You can even sell cars
from a virtual car lot. Almost anything can make money if done right.

I have a friend that sells clocks online and makes 100k/year from it.
He's now moving into other things with his business. Anything you can
think of you can do.

I work from home working with public companies as outsourced Investor
Relations. Works well.

Good luck.
