I know that in the UK there is a periodical published monthly called
BRAD, which stands for British Rates and Data. It is about two to
three inches thick and is usually only available on subscription to PR
people but a good commercial library should have it. It lists every
known general and speciality trade magazine. It gives their target
audience, circulation and rates for advertising on the inside cover,
facing page, back page, any other page etc. Although the UK might not
be your place of business there must be some US equivalent, maybe
broken down by state. It might be worthwhile contacting BRAD and
asking if there is an equivalent in your area.
