Hello, I run a worldwide accommodation web site ( http;//www.a1touristguide.com ). We conducted a survey last November by asking visitors a series of questions. We received over 1500 replies: 56% of visitors used links to our clients' hotel web sites to gain information. 10% of those visitors made a firm booking with our hotel client via the client web site. (Firm booking means either using on line booking software, email communication, or telephone) These are people looking for hotel rooms rather than party facilities, but i would imagine the statistics to be similar.
