simple career bio info on J. Carlos Sterling, W.R. Farquhar, George
A.H. Scott and Urban H. Broughton who were all applicants on the
charter granted to Chicago Golf Club in Wheaton, IL in July, 1893
(just want to know if they were important Chicago business figures at
the time...I believe Broughton was a banker)

The only other thing I can add is that Boughton and Farquhar are
mentioned in many of the "society" pages in the Chicago Tribune from
that time period; as hosting or attending many parties for the
socialites.  J. C. Sterling is mentioned as being one of the officers
of the club and apparently a founder of the Hartford Golf Club in
Connecticut in 1896:
