Looking for information on how to become an Independent Power Producer (IPP) to build a small power plant and sell the power back into the grid. With deregulation and the advent of high efficiency co-generation turbines, small power plants can be built and sell power in high demand areas at the Avoided Cost of older less efficient plants. The more detail in terms of step by step considerations will be greatly appreciated. | |

You may want to check with your city first to see if the is allowed. I know where I live you cannot produce your own energy. |

Go solar. Any google search for solar power will lead you to many makers of solar power systems which today are very good about to do it my self. As for your needs, call the city that you think would need it most. I don't there is any free data out there that can found to give you an idea of who needs it most. I would think the smaller towns would need it more. Texas has more power than it knows what to do with. However, it also buys power because it supports many other states. I know many people becoming a IPP in Houston, Dallas and so on. |
