A few weeks ago, I saw a comercial for a set of video tapes for
teaching kids spanish. The comercial mentioned that the tapes were
developed by the BBC.

I searched amazon and such and could not find them. Note: Neither
Bilingual Baby nor Lyiric Language are what I am looking for.

Hi bigjosh-ga,

I had seen those advertisements too, but just couldn’t remember
exactly what they were called. So I did some searching, and came up

“Who is MUZZY? MUZZY is a lovable space traveler. Your children will
be fascinated by his entertaining antics as he and his friends
introduce the fun of learning a new language.”

The BBC Language Learning Course for Children
Welcome to the world of MUZZY - the most successful language course
for children ever created! The powerful, NEW EXPANDED EDITION is
available in Spanish, French, German, or Italian.”

The course is being offered here by Early Advantage LLC. The order
link is in the right top quadrant. In addition to Spanish, the course
is also offered in Italian, French and German, and is available in DVD
or video/audiocassette versions.
I did a little extra searching around on “Muzzy Spanish” to see who
else might sell the course, but all links to Muzzy eventually lead
back to the Early Advantage website.

I did, however, find five sellers on Ebay offering the course. Here is
the listing of the five that are available right now:

If for some reason, this long link does not work, go to:
and type “Muzzy Spanish” in the Search box. That should get you there.

If you should need any additional clarification on the above, please
do not hesitate to ask. Buena Suerte!

Search criteria:
"BBC" spanish kids OR children learning tapes

Yes Beth good work again,as usual, I just checked out your answer as
I thought they may have done Indonesian as well. Something like that
not so academic may have been handy for me to learn Indonesian a bit
better than the absolute basic I understand now so that I could speak
to my three year old daughter in Jakarta a bit better.

Hi John,

Thanks for the compliment! Here are a couple of sites that may help
you out in learning Indonesian:

Rosetta Stone
Mentions an Indonesian version available under “Children’s French
Software” about a quarter of the way down the page:

Or this one in Australia:
Indonesian Language Course
Would You Like to Learn or Teach Your Children Indonesian

You may find more by searching Google on these terms:
Indonesian language learning tapes kid OR kids OR child OR beginner OR

Good luck,

(I had really hoped to impress you by wishing you “Good Luck” in
Indonesian, but my translator doesn’t offer it!)
