I have a few tweaks I need to make to Outlook and need to know how.

1. I had a programmer set up an automatic receipt that is emailed to
them and me via Outlook. The problem is that when I print it out, the
header is printed with it. I need it to not print the header and I
also need it to only be one page when printed. (I tried the whole
"show headers" option, but that didn't help. I also tried saving as an
html file, but the headers still printed.)

2. I have custom stationary that I like to use with every email. With
new emails created by me, this is not a problem, as I have it set as
the default. What I need to know is how to have Outlook
*automatically* apply the stationary to emails that I am replying to,
including plain text emails.

For Question One, if there were a way to run a macro on only the
receipt emails that would let me customize the form
(Tools->forms->design this form), I imagine that would work. But I
can't do it manually for every receipt I receive.

If you select all of the text you want to print, then click
file-print, you should see an option that says 'Selection'. This will
only print out the selected text. You can write a script that will
allow you to print out the message and exclude any headers.

As for your replys to emails. depending on what version of outlook you
are using will indicate where to turn this on. in 2003 I go to
Tools-Options-Mail Format and at the bottom it will ask for the
signature to use when replying or forwarding email. Hope this helps.

Dan,
Unfortunately, neither worked. Thank you anyway for your help!

The first part still printed the headers.

The second part (tools-options-mail-format) didn't work, as I receive
the emails as plain text so they somehow need to be automatically
converted into html before my stationary is automatically applied.

What version of outlook are you using? If you provide me with a sample
of the reciept I can write a script that will strip the header info.

The following is a microsoft article explaining in detail how to get
around your problem.

It explains that Outlook has no simple solution to this problem, but
then offers a programming work around for those brave enough to try.
The solution outputs the email to word before printing..

Hope this helps !
