I'd say a charming personality, wit, and the abitlity to be forward
enough, but not a boorish braggart. Stop contemplating the worst. If
she says no, you MUST have the attitude there are others out there. At
19, I read "How to Win Freinds and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie.
 This changed my perspective - entirely.  I went from being an
introvert to a worthwhile person with a positive attitude. I realized
that I was a fun person to be around, a great freind, I enjoy(ed) the
moment, and lived life to its fullest.  Oh, and at the time I had a
crappy old car, and I was a broke Private in the Army.  So a nice car,
and $$ have nothing to do with it.  Women do like museums, zoo's,
quiet walks on the beach, poetry read to them, picnics, hand holding,
and for someone to listen to them.  Ask her about her hobbies, and
shut up and listen. LISTEN LISTEN LISTEN.  And wild flowers picked at
a roadside are a nice gesture, but not required.
