Hello, thanks for looking at my question! I need to offer visitors to my web site a simple form to fill out which includes a photo upload "browse ..." field. Where can I find a simple PERL or CGI script that can handle the results of this form, saving both the text and the photo into a directory on my server? If it then loaded a page showing the uploaded information, all the better. Does anyone know where I could find such a script, already written? Thanks! | |

Am not sure if this is what you're looking for, but its a script I use called "Gallery". Here's where you download it: http://gallery.menalto.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpWiki&file=index&pagename=Download and here's where it's in use (my site): http://www.pancakephotos.com I hope this helps! |

Thank you for the suggestion and for taking time to look .... ... that is not quite what what we're needing, though. "Gallery" is a complex web application that allows people to build online photo albums. It looks like a good program for that --- but what we need is just a simple CGI / PERL script that allows a person to upload a single photo and will save it in a directory along with the content of a few text fields. Basically, we want to use this to upload photos and descriptions of user's vehicles for inclusion into an auto classifieds. **No, we're not looking for any of those complete online auto classifieds database applications that are out there**, just a simple script that will take a person's photo and save it in a directory, along with the contents of their "make, model, description, etc." text fields. If it can then load a page that "reads back" their uploaded info to them, all the better. Hope that helps clarify ... thank you again! |
