By strange coincidence i was trying to find haircuts for people with
long hair earlier and found a few sitew you might like. Search "long
hair" in google and there are several sites that will give general
advice. Or, try http://www.fasthair.ca/index.php?affiliate=9 for
general questions on hair growth. It is also the website for a company
selling a vitamin drink specifically designed to make your hair grow
quickly.

Any claim that a product can make hair grow more quickly is quackery.
Please do not waste your money on such things.

The best way to get long, healthy hair is to eat a nutritious diet and
do what you can to prevent hair breakage. Despite what some websites
may tell you, there isn't any way to speed up the growth rate of the
hair.

I remember a horrible movie i saw on TV a long time ago about a boy
who wanted his hair to grow and got a recipe for it from a ... witch
perhaps?  The main ingredient was peanut butter, and I remember some
part of a frog being in it as well.  After spreading the mixture on
his head his hair was growing at phenominal rates.

I do remember his teacher commenting (dispite watching his hair grow
before his own eyes) that it's bogus and hair can only grow at a rate
of 1/2 inch per month.  It was somewhat amusing in bad 80s movie kinda
way.

But anyways, I highly recomend peanut butter and random parts of
frogs... and if you can find the movie perhaps you can tell us the
real recipe and how well it works :)

Take a good pre-natal vitamin(you don't have to be pregnant or even
female to take them) that includes iron and folic acid. It's not the
pregnancy that brings about hair growth(that is a myth, it's the
vitamin/mineral supplements. Both your hair and nails will grow faster
and stronger. Just remember that Iron can cause constipation, so eat
half a greatfruit(or 8 prunes,yuck, which I detest) a day to stabalize
this effect.
