Dear Google Answers:
I would like to develop simple applications focused on SMS for mobile
telephones. For example, I want to develop applications such as an
auto-reply feature for SMS, the ability to reply to an incoming call
with an SMS, the ability to send an SMS with content from a filled-out
form, and so on. I need advice on the best platform for developing
such applications. I am good at C programming and have worked-through
a few C# .Net kind of books (e.g., Sam?s Visual C@ .Net 2003 in 24
hours). I like C# and .Net and thus am inclined towards a Microsoft
Smartphone. Would the following book:
Programming Microsoft® Windows® CE .NET, Third Edition by Douglas Boling
(http://www.microsoft.com/MSPress/books/6535.asp)
and this mobile phone:
Qtek 8080 Smartphone (unlocked)
allow me to develop the applications that I describe above? Can you
recommend another learning resource and/or telephone? I want a
relatively cheap telephone and the least ?hassle? in terms of getting
up to speed and writing code that can run on a mobile phone. If a
Symbian approach would be much easier, I can be talked into it. Any
pointers to developing applications for mobile phones would also be
greatly appreciated. A good answer will point to ?evidence? (e.g.,
websites, books, etc.) that show that it is possible to use the
specified mobile phone and resource (book, etc.) to do the kinds of
things I want to do.
Thanks! |
