I have an Exchange 5.5 running on a Windows NT Server 4.0. The machine does not have RAID disks I really need a BACKUP of all exchange data. I've read that backuping only the Exchange data files (mdbdata) will not do the job, because without all SSIDs and all domain information from NT, I wont be able to restore exchange. Backuping the whole system (like an image) is not an option. I don't have that kind of space. Now my questions : 1) There's any way to "open" the mdbdata in another exchange server? (ReadOnly is needed) 2) There's any way to backup the exchange and after a clean reinstall (nt and exchange) I could restore the data back? 3) There's any way to backup NT domain information without having a BDC? |
